This 1929 Ahrens-Fox piston pumper was the second piston pumper purchased for the Pottsville Fire Department. The West End Hose Company #7 received their Ahrens-Fox piston pumper in 1928. The Good Intent piston pumper served the city of Pottsville until its retirement in 1959. The truck was sold to a private collector whose family sold it back to the Good Intent Fire Company in 2007. The pumper is now prominently displayed in the engine room at the SHFS. |
